The RIG "Audio meets Innovation Day" in Linz - a complete success
The Raiffeisen Arena in Linz was the meeting place for the Austrian radio scene on Tuesday. 50 managers from Austrian private radio stations, ORF, the BBC, the Association of Austrian Private Broadcasters, RMS Austria, representatives of Bavarian private broadcasters, strategy consultants and providers of innovative audio technologies were invited by RIG Radio Innovations GmbH to the LASK VIP Club to discuss the content and technological requirements of a rapidly developing audio world.

Driven by increasing reach, not least thanks to a growing market for digital offerings/DAB and streaming and a stable, positive advertising market, the industry is focusing on the further development of hybrid audio offerings and the best possible use of all available platforms and aggregators.
Lawrence Galkoff, General Manager of Radioplayer Worldwide, presented the data and in-car strategy for radio as part of the European Radioplayer cooperation. As a platform and metadata provider, this project, which has been operated in partnership with ORF since 2024, ensures the availability of radio on almost all digital platforms, whether in cars, smart speakers, networked TV devices, smart watches or innovative apps.
The programmatically oriented and standardized data structure offers future security for the marketing of offers such as Sven Bieber from Bieber Consulting in a very focused manner. The subsequent discussion with Rüdiger Landgraf program director of kronehit and Jan Poelmann Director of Demand Side at aireal, supported Sven Bieber's theses and gave the RIG Day participants plenty of input for future strategy decisions.
Elmar Giglinger provided insights into the challenges surrounding the development of the former music channel VIVA and drew a line to today's necessities.

Under the title "Recruit. Retrain. Retain.", radio producer and strategy consultant Bert Helbig the need for proper recruiting and how to deal with the talents of the future - and where to find them in the first place.
For interested soccer fans, there was an exclusive guided tour of the impressive LASK stadium as a final highlight.
